What is the Layout Builder module in Drupal 8 and 9?ĭrupal’s Layout Builder module is a drag-and-drop core tool for creating the layout of content pages on Drupal websites. Since then, it has become stable and enriched with more capabilities for both editors and developers. The Layout Builder jumped into the Drupal core in version 8.5 as an experimental module. Obviously I could build this without zengrids using a fixed-width float on the sidebar and a flexible main content area - but I'm trying to not bypass zen and use zen if I can.Today, we will discuss one of the powerful tools that transformed authoring experiences in Drupal 8 and 9. Is it possible using zen grids to have a dynamic main area and a fixed width sidebar? Or am I forced to use all fixed or all dynamic? If I try to set the width in the include statement: If I set a min-width on the side-bar the percentage margins that zen grids adds breaks the layout. I only want the main content area to resize. I noticed when using the responsive template that it makes the right side bar expand /shrink when you re-size. I'm trying to make a responsive (sub theme zen) template using SASS w/ zen grids. I hope this is the best place to post my question, if not please refer me to the proper group / focum or support area! Thank you. ![]()
